Britain has voted to leave the European Union after a bitterly divisive referendum campaign, toppling the David Cameron government, sending global markets plunging Friday and shattering the stability of a project in continental unity designed half a century ago to prevent another world war.
The decision raises the likelihood of years of negotiations over trade, business and political links with what will become a 27-nation bloc. In essence, the vote marks the start — rather than the end — of a process that could take decades to unwind.Markets plunged as results defied bookmakers’ odds to show a 52-48 per cent victory for the campaign to leave a bloc that Britain joined more than 40 years ago.
The results have also raised the possibility of one or more breakups within the U.K. as nationalist politicians in Scotland and Northern Ireland — where voters favoured remaining within the EU — say a Brexit warrants a vote on independence for their constituents.
Remarkably, Keith Bilous’ censors over at ICUC deleted only one of my many posts on this article. A reader asked how the British people could possibly have been so stupid as to vote to leave “Europe?”
Your humble correspondent responded:
The fact is, corporate media’s bread and butter is convincing the rest of the corporate world they can tell us what to buy, what to think and even whom to vote for. Or, in this case, on what side of an issue we (or at least the good people Britain) should vote for.
Corporate media told Britishers they MUST vote to remain in “Europe.” Corporate media told our American friends Donald Trump is nothing, a joke. He’ll drop out. He’s not serious. He’ll never get past the first round of debates. He’ll never win the nomination. His poll number will pale in comparison to Hillary.
Of course, now Big Media’s message is: Well, so what if Donald is the nominee. Hillary will beat him handily, anyway.
The unthinkable question Big Media is asking itself is: If people aren’t listening to us when we tell them who to vote for, how can we possibly demand hundreds of thousands of dollars for a 30-second commercial (or a full page ad in a snoozepaper nobody reads any longer) to push everything from dog food to prescription anti-depressants that melt your brain and cause you to go on psychotic shooting sprees (side effects may include death)?
One of the more amusing posts came from a user whose screen name is Stephen Glass. Steve gave us an insight that was so remarkably informative it’s as if it came from an israeli-national bankster itself.
and here’s another gem of Steve’s…
Yup. The banksters are angry. “We tried to do things the easy way. Now, no more Mister Nice Guy.”
LettersToTheBeast would like to remind our friends in the israeli-dual-national and israel-first community that the last time they showed this much bravado, things didn’t work out for them very well. Even if you don’t subscribe to the popular narrative of late 1930s and 1940s Germany, the German people were driven to such a level of anger that things were made very inconvenient for their jewish neighbours.
That’s not a threat, Steve. Just a historical fact. And LettersToTheBeast believes in supplying all facts required by Canadian law when it comes to World War II history. When the shit hits the fan, it won’t be hard to know who to come looking for. Just ask Jo Cox.
I think we’re pretty much done with doing things this way. You folks had your fun, but now it’s time to move on.
There are 151 Canadians about to get an uncomfortable phone call from police.
It may go something like this: “It’s probably nothing, but … your name appears to be on an ISIS kill list.”
Imagine getting that call. Imagine being the constable assigned to make it.
CBC has obtained a copy of the list, which contains the names, and email and physical addresses of some 8,300 people around the globe. It’s hard to tell what unites them.
The Canadian names are mostly of women, from predominantly small centres in Canada, although there are some from large cities, too.
In analyzing the Canadian data, CBC has learned that most email addresses (71 per cent) appear to have been hacked at some point, either in an old LinkedIn hack or one from Myspace or Adobe. It is possible the information from those hacks was simply pushed around from group to group. Some of the information may exist in the public domain.
The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) says it first uncovered the list on pro-ISIS accounts from social media platforms like Telegram.
MEMRI’s Elliot Zwig says the first call was to police.
Ahh, yes. MEMRI. The plot thickens. This is the outfit whose greatest claim to fame is deliberately mistranslating a speech by former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. “This occupation regime over Jerusalem must vanish from the arena of time” became “israel must be wiped off the face of the map.”
Did Ahmadinejad really say Israel should be ‘wiped off the map’?
MEMRI, of course, is the baby of legendary israeli film director Rita Katz. Katz is best known for her “beheading videos” which depict the cranial units of dead corpses being separated from their bodies and passed off as live decapitations. Katz’ SITE “Intelligence Agency” is known for “discovering” these videos on “Muslim” websites and breathlessly promoting them around the world.
There is no indication anyone on any of these lists has ever been harmed, but if they have had that call from police, they have most assuredly had a moment of pause. Various police agencies in Canada have confirmed to CBC that they are in the process of informing everyone on the list of what is going on. There is a “duty to inform.” It takes time and resources and distracts from other investigations police need to be conducting.
And that suits these pro-ISIS groups just fine.
Arsenault, the CBC typist, doesn’t indicate if Republican-In-Name-Only Arizona Senator John McCain is included amongst those “pro-ISIS” groups. Nor does she mention the U.S. and other NATO military officials responsible for air-dropping supplies – everything from food to guns and ammo – over ISIS positions in Syria. Accidentally, of course. And let’s not forget those Toyota pick-up trucks.
On Friday, March 4th, the leading opposition newspaper in Turkey, Zaman, was taken over by the Government; and, today, March 5th, one of the other opposition newspapers,Cumhuriyet, reported that Zaman’s separate news-service to other news-media, Cihan News Agency, has now also been disabled on the Internet. (Anyone who goes to the site obtains an error-message.)
The Turkish Government is trying to prevent the Turkish public from knowing that Turkey has been serving as the transit-route by which the U.S. government and its allied Arab oil monarchies (especially Saudi Arabia and Qatar) have been supplying foreign jihadists and weapons (largely U.S. but paid for with Saudi funds) into Syria to oust Bashar al-Assad from power.
Zaman’s editor has been imprisoned for publishing such prohibited truths, but somehow his newspaper continued reporting on a court case in which Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdoğan is accused of breaking Turkish law by aiding terrorists. That continued resistance by the newspaper might be a reason why the Turkish Government has now (as of Friday March 4th) shut it down
Not surprisingly, CBC disabled commenting. Again. The last thing the pressitute corporate media and whorespondents like Arsenault want is the sheep pointing out the various, ahem, inconsistencies regarding “ISIS.” Like John “The Russians are bombing our assets!” McCain. Like the Toyota pick-up trucks. Like Turkey – acting on behalf of the District of Criminals – shooting down an Russian bomber which had just completed a mission against a real ISIS target. Like Bilal Erdogan – the Turkish president’s son – trafficking in stolen Syrian oil.
Before the CBC clamped down on comments, truthers (corporate media uses that word, truther, as if it is a bad thing) outnumbered those promoting the official narrative ten-to-one. And those were just the posts not censored by Keith Bilous’s work-at-home outfit ICUC.
On an unrelated note, CBC recently changed its commenting policy and deleted all previous accounts. Contributors were required to sign up with new profiles using their real names. In theory, this should make it much easier for the likes of Richard Warman as well as the legions of professional israelis over at bnai brith to prosecute Canadians for unapproved thoughts.
LettersToTheBeast is pleased to announce your humble correspondent has picked out a new, real-sounding name and is back in business.
Unfortunately, the number of articles at CBC.ca which remain available for comment continues to be severely limited.
Surviving a major bombing is the extraordinary — and repeated — situation that one Utah teen can live to tell about.
Mason Wells, a 19-year-old from Sandy, Utah, is expected to make a full recovery from the bombing attack at the Brussels airport Tuesday, which left him with a surgery scar, severed Achilles tendon, head gash, shrapnel injuries and severe burns.
Wells had once again found himself at the centre of a major attack — standing within feet of a bomb that exploded at the Belgian airport. The blasts in the Belgian capital killed 34 people and wounded scores at the airport and a subway station.
Three years ago, Wells and his father felt the ground shake and narrowly escaped death from an April, 2013, attack in the U.S., when a pressure-cooker bomb exploded a block away from where they were watching his mother run the Boston Marathon.
This ought to be the feel-good story of the year, but curiously…
Maybe the Globe and Mail was afraid that too many of its readers would recognize this nonsense from other “terrorist attacks” and call it out. It would have cost a fortune to have ICUC “moderate” such comments and pre-censor them. And it’s not as if the Globe and Mail has CBC cash laying around.
As for your humble correspondent, the first thing I did upon reading this headline in my Google News feed is to search Mason Wells AND crisis actor under “news.” And, sure enough:
This brings to mind some curious characters from the Sandy Hook (aka Sandy Hoax) event. It’s amazing our friend Mason didn’t somehow end up there as well. Maybe he was unavailable.
The “Mason Wells” tale was widely-reported in the corporate (i.e. bullshit) media. It’s almost as if they were aware that the same people were inexplicably showing up at different “events.” And it has gotten to the point that they needed to somehow find a way to start explaining it before Wells, in this case, started showing up in memes. So, how to explain Wells? It’s a miracle! Yeah! That’s the ticket.
As for Wells’ “injuries,” we can only take the media’s word for it. The same media that told us about babies and incubators, Saddam’s “nukular bombs” and Assad’s chemical weapons. You know, those chemical weapons he used on his own alawite supporters in Syria right on front of the U.N. chemical weapons inspectors? Yeah, those chemical weapons.
So, to the Toronto Globe and Mail, comments or not, LettersToTheBeast humbly and indignantly calls “Bullshit!” on the Mason Wells tale.
“Maclean’s” Magazine is a Canadian neo-con rag along the same lines as Time or Newsweek. And like Time and Newsweek, they are desperate to maintain their illusion of relevance, power and influence over their infinitesimal readership.
Scanning through the article and merely reading the names tells you all you need to know about where the story is coming from:
Michael Chertoff, Eliot Cohen, Dov Zakheim, Robert Zoellick, Richard Haass, Iva Zoric about the only name missing was Henry Kissinger…except the article also expressed concerns from the Council on Foreign Relations itself.
Republican national security leaders and experts have assailed GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump as unfit to be commander in chief, calling him dishonest and describing his positions on key issues as dangerous and uninformed.
The broadsides began Wednesday evening and carried into Thursday when Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., the chairman of the Armed Services Committee and the 2008 presidential nominee, said that Republicans should “think long and hard about who they want to be our next commander in chief and leader of the free world.” Earlier in the day, the 2012 presidential nominee, Mitt Romney, said that if the GOP chooses Trump, “the prospects for a safe and prosperous future are greatly diminished.”
What a nice picture of John McCain. But this one is much nicer:
The Maclean’s article concludes with:
Cohen and Bryan McGrath, a retired Navy officer and managing director of The FerryBridge Group defence consulting firm, organized the letter after exchanging their concerns about Trump over Twitter.
McGrath said he’s gratified by the large number of signatures. The letter, he said, is a “vehicle for people to say they’ve had enough.”
Hey, Bryan: you’re outnumbered this time.
Because your fellow Americans – and the rest of the world for that matter, have had enough, too. No more wars for israel.
Commenters had to endure CBC’s new “moderation” policy which holds comments in queue for hours, lest the Proles say something unfortunate. Despite these efforts, my comment still earned three likes before the censors came back and killed it.
As an aside, note the comment above in reference to the Oregon stand-off:” Between Patriots and a psychopathic, criminal u.s. government, I’ll side with the Patriots in a heartbeat. ”
Not only is it remarkable that this one got past the censors, but it garnered six likes and, most astonishingly, didn’t generate any hateful replies. The only critical reply was some cop-sucker who said, “Patriots, the last refuge of the scoundrel.” In fact, most of the comments regarding Oregon are overwhelmingly in favour of the militiamen.
Yet the CBC and the other bullshit media are too stupid – or at least wilfully ignorant – to understand this. The internet audience is not a bunch of loony, leftist government-lovers. We have access to other means of information and we know when we are being lied to and manipulated.
In 2003, many of us were old enough to remember how the media who told us about Saddam’s Nukular Bombs also told us about Iraqi soldiers stealing incubators. In 2012, as media was abuzz with news about Bashar Assad using chemical weapons against his own Alawite supporters, right in front of U.N. inispectors on the very day of their visit, we remembered tales about Weapons of Mass Destruction. And now, more than half of our American friends reject the ridiculous and implausible conspiracy theory which suggests 19 brown guys living in caves caused a complete stand-down of the United States (and Canadian) military, managed to take over four passenger air-liners with box cutters, and – in three cases – fly them into their intended targets with perfect precision, despite havinig little flight training and absolutely no experience.
The lies are just getting more and more absurd and insulting. But, again, the governments and its accomplice bullshit media who put them out are either too stupid to understand this. Or they just don’t care.
Remember this the next time they put out a story (and “story” is exactly what it is) about the global warming hoax. Governments and the Rothschilds banks who run them need that money.
While I do not watch The National or any other CBC news program, I do view your company’s website. I assume that a good portion of web articles form a portion of CBC’s broadcasting news programming as well. As a Canadian citizen, and a Canadian taxpayer, I have a right to object when news programming is erroneous (at best) or outright propaganda and false at worst. The list of “news stories” which fall into those categories is a long one. And CBC is by no means the sole offender.
I will concentrate on falsehoods and propaganda broadcast by CBC which is intended to drive us into the Third World War and eventual nuclear oblivion.
CBC’s reportage on Ukraine and Crimea suggests that there was a Russian invasion of the Crimea and that Russian troops occupy Ukraine. The fact is the former president, Viktor Yanukovych was deposed in a western (i.e. U.S. government / CIA)-backed coup after he decided Ukraine did not want to be part of the European Union. Yanukovych was replaced by chocolate baron Petro Poroshenko. Crimean residents voted: to a) break away from Ukraine; and b) apply to join Russia. The country has been embroiled in a civil war ever since. CBC has also reported, and allowed on-air comments to go unchallenged, that “Russia” shot down Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 when there has been absolutely no evidence to suggest this. The crash scene has been severely tampered, there is no chain of evidence and what “evidence” that does exist is not freely shared.
The world is being hoaxed into believing that there is an evil entity out there known as ISIS, and ISIL, and IS and Khorosan and some other names I can’t quite recall right now. No mention is made of John McCain’s links to ISIS (et al) and chief Boogeyman Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (aka Simon Elliot). CBC reporting of CSIS agent Mohammed al-Rashad smuggling three teen British girls into Syria to “fight” for ISIS was quickly memory-holed. Typing John McCain and ISIS really does tell us all we need to know. The coining of the name“Khorosan” was a particularly foolish choice as Star Wars geeks would immediately associate it with Coruscant (i.e. false flag) with is probably why use of that term dropped rather quickly. People who understand Arabic chuckle when they hear “al-qaeda” because that is Arabic slang for “toilet.” Not unlike the john, the bowl, or the crapper. Can you imagine if Gerry Adams (or his voice actor for BBC news reports) had said, “I’m from the Crapper and I’m going to kill you all!”? We’d all die. Of laughter.
Getting back to Mr. Elliot, sorry, Mr. Abu Bakr-al Baghdadi (oh, boy’s that a scary Muslim name, isn’t it, Mr. Mansbridge?) how can he be in a position to release a new USAma bin Laden-style tape when the man was reported dead on April 28, 2015? In fact, the Jerusalem Post of that date reported that, not only had Mr. Elliot died, but his death took place in Israel, while being tended to by Israeli doctors.
Mr. Elliot’s video, as have all the other ISIS videos (or as I refer to them, “movies”) come from one source: Rita Katz and her SITE “Intelligence Agency,” an Israel-based outfit that somehow “discovers” these films on “Muslim websites” using methods apparently not available to anybody else.
I actually wrote Mr. Mulcair a letter saying if it weren’t for the fact he was a taxer-spender, a global warming hoaxer and a gun-grabber, I would vote for him.
CBC continues to deceive viewers when it comes to the “financial crisis.” For the record, I watched “Meltdown.” And I watched the late Jim Flaherty’s own meltdown when the subject of Iceland came up. You may recall Iceland was the only country to say “no” to the banksters. And their government – that is the government the good people of Iceland elected after the previous one was proven corrupt – didn’t just say “no.” It arrested the banking criminals still within the country and issued Interpol warrants for those that escaped.
CBC’s reporting fails to mention that the “debt” taxpayers are expected to service is artificially created out of thin air by privately-owned central banks. The role of George Papandreou, Prime Minister of Greece until 2011 and his secret “payday loan” deals with Goldman Sachs is completely ignored. In fact, any mention of Goldman Sachs’ responsibility for financial criminality around the planet is overlooked in corporate media reporting.
As you know, CBC.ca has a comments section. I understand your show, “The National” ran a segment which discussed cutting off that feature. I don’t know, because, again, I don’t watch your show. The censorship of these comments is beyond draconian. It is blatant. Your censors as Keith Bilous’s ICUC are supposed to be on the lookout for offensive language, off-topic comments, CAPS, slander, “hate,” etc. They are clearly not only acting in a partisan manner, but acting on behalf of the clients of their “reputation management services,” another service provided by ICUC. In comments discussing “mass shootings,” any comment where I have inquired about what medications the purported “shooter” or “shooters” may have been on is swiftly killed. Medication, anti-depressants, SSRI’s will ensure my “content” is “disabled.” So either ICUC is protecting its Big Pharma clients. Or it is protecting CBC’s Big Pharma advertisers. Or both.
From my experience, it is obvious the Clinton Global Initiative (aka the Bill, Hilary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation) is obviously an ICUC client. Here is a selection of my censored comments:
Nice try. The “bail-in” regime (aka “negative interest rates”) was instituted as a “contingency” by Jim Flaherty (1 like)
“Question number one regarding such incidents which always gets deleted: Do we know what prescription medications the shooters were on, or were withdrawing from?”
Quoting “I still for the life of me cannot understand how a wife and husband can have a 6 month old baby and jointly plan and go on a killing spree leaving the baby with the grandmother.” “Kind of makes you wonder what medications they were on. Yeah, yeah, I know. Content Disabled.”
Adam Ghadan was Adam Pearlman before he “converted.” Joseph Cohen became Yousef al-Khatab. Zachary Chesser became known as Abu Tahlah al-Amtrikee. Adam’s grand-daddy ran the ADL. Joe used to hang out outside mosques and beat up Muslims.”
“Hey, Keith, why are you blocking comments mentioning SSRIs and other prescription medication?”
Quoting: “Man tries to open door on a European Lufthansa flight while shouting he wants to join ‘youknowwho’ but this site is ignoring it. Disgusting” “He ought to do a simple Google Image search of John McCain and youknowwho to see just whom he is joining.”
Context: Why don’t YOU run for office: “I’m not a psychopathic liar willing to tell anybody what they want to hear, willing to sell my own mother for a dollar and willing to subvert myself and my country to a foreign power. So, in short, I don’t have a prayer (of) being elected under the current system.”
“Hey, CBC, how can you still, in good conscience, report the popular narrative about “ISIS” when, if anything, this incident destroys that narrative once and for all? Turkey shot down a Russian fighter jet that was actually bombing REAL terrorist targets. I mean, seriously, what else do we need to know? This war really is a fake, a fraud, a farce and a hoax. And you are insulting the intelligence of millions of Canadians (to say nothing of the rest of the world) by continuing to pretend otherwise. Twenty-three years ago, you had the courage to expose the Babies and Incubators hoax (The Fifth Estate: To Sell A War). It’s time to grow another pair and expose this one before millions MORE people get killed.” (45 likes).
“I agree. The best conservatives can hope for is a conservative-minded leader (see Paul Martin) because the Conservative party is done for at least a generation. And I’m a lifelong conservative voter. My Liberal friends, the Harper regime was not conservative. It was fascist. (13 likes).
Quoting: ” ‘Sharia Law! Ontariowe! Communism! They’re taking our guns! Immigrants cancelling Christmas! Children smoking drugs in from of their teachers! Did I get everything, Stephen?’ Well, yeah, you missed the most important element of the Two Minutes of Hate: The Terrorists! They’re coming to get you! They’ll flatulate in our elevators! Tear the tags off of our mattresses! They’ll mate with our women (just ask the previous defense minister)! Oh, please, Mr. Government, save us!
Quoting previous comment: ” ‘ You might not support the mission, but you have to support the troops.’ Not if they’re committing war crimes we don’t. That’s why Chretien shut down the Canadian Airborne Regiment.” (3 likes)
“Are u.s. and other ‘allied’ troops still guarding poppy fields in Afghanistan and shipping the finished product home? I’m wearing a white poppy. I’m done with this crap.” (2 likes).
It’s a shame the “Whitewater hearings” spent so much time concentrating on a real estate scame and a stained blue dress while completely overlooking a little town called Mena, Arkansas. And its municipal airport. (1 like)
“We came, we saw, he died! Ha! Ha! Ha!” (2 likes) Posting this particular quote by Missus Clinton ALWAYS gets deleted. Care to explain that one?
“Retain power at all costs” (quoting a previous comment). You’d almost think Steve was a former Liberal. Oh, wait…
Relax. Read the comments. We’re winning. And these are just the comments that aren’t memory-holed by ICUC. The neocons are in a panic because Russia is exposing this hoax. (3 likes).
I’m no shill…and I do have a brain. I also read the CBC’s reports about CSIS agent Mohammed al-Rashad smuggling teen British girls into Syria to “fight” for “ISIS. And I know about John McCain meeting with al-Baghdadi. And John McCain ISIS selfies. I know “we” have been air dropping supplies and materiel on ISIS positions in Syria. And even giving them a fleet of Toyota pick-up trucks. The Russians have accomplished in Syria what “we” couldn’t do in two years. (2 likes).
Yeah, good luck with that, Steve. And BTW, I donated to Ford’s campaign. I did not (and do not) live in Toronto. Of course, at the time, I didn’t know Ford was a pathological liar and a drug addict and had a personal and family criminal history. I repudiated my previous support of Stephen Harper (circa 2006) and quickly repudiated my support for Ford when I learned I had been had AGAIN. Too bad there are so many simple-minded neocons that just can admit they have been had, too. (1 like).
There are more, Mr. Mansbridge. I would invite you to check out my own website, LettersToTheBeast.com, where, among other things, I post screenshots of my deleted comments. And the number of “likes” before your censors get around to killing them.
No, sir. It stops here. I’m not buying this crap any longer. You are not going “to sell a war” (with apologies to Lynden MacIntyre) again. And judging by the tone of my fellow commenters, I am not alone in that assessment. And those are just the comments that aren’t “pinked.” It seems a good number of us are there for no other purpose than to call out the bovine excrement. If CBC wants to disable the comments section, go ahead. I don’t care. Watch your web viewership plummet, and the eyes viewing your on-line advertising sink along with it (see the Toronto Sun). And if you think the Liberal government will be your new sugar daddy, I suggest you go to YouTube and look at Julie van Dusen’s temper tantrum with Sheila Copps when Julie felt funding increases to the CBC were unduly insufficient. My memory is a bit hazy after all these years, but I’m pretty sure Copps was a Liberal.
I respectfully suggest you and your corporate / government masters have two choices: we can either spout off on your little comments sections. Or, having had that means of presenting our grievances removed from us and with nothing better to do, we can show up by the hundreds of thousands or millions on Front Street, Bay Street, Wellington Street and Bank Street and make our voices heard that way. The world is coming to two very uncomfortable conclusions: a) the conspiracy kooks were right and; b) they are probably right about a number of other things as well.
This letter touched on just a few of the things that you report and are provably false. Don’t even get me started on September 11, 2001, Sandy Hook (aka Sandy Hoax) and global warming.
I am 46 years old. When I was a schoolboy and my little head was being filled with commies, Rooskies and “nukular bombs,” I couldn’t possibly imagine I would grow up to live in a world where Russia was a free country, the United States was a fascist police state and Canada wasn’t far behind. And I sure wouldn’t have believe Canada would have degenerated into a country where you are free to say anything you want about the government of Canada, but would go to jail for speaking ill of the government of Israel and its agents and lobby overseas.
Feel free to check out this letter on LettersToTheBeast.com where I will supply links to back up every single claim I have made. To put it bluntly: I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this any more.

Canada’s israeli community was determined to make an example of Arthur Topham. And it did.
The Canadian jewish News of November 18 bent over backwards to congratulate itself on the successful persecution of RadicalPress.com’s Arthur Topham.
Harry Abrams, 63, a Victoria-based owner of an advertising company, was among the first to bring attention to Topham’s website and his anti-Semitic vitriol back in 2007. Abrams, who has 30 years of anti-defamation work behind him and currently leads the Jewish Federation of Victoria and Vancouver Island’s social action committee, describes Topham as “rabidly anti-Semitic.”
Curiously, the CjN mentions who was “among the first,” but fails to mention any other complainants. Like the Mysterious Stranger, Richard Warman’s role in this victory goes unnoticed. Warman is the serial SLAPP-suiter responsible for most of the now-defunct Section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal. Warman was cited by the CHRT in 2009 for engaging in provacateuring activity by posting his own “hate messages” on targeted cites and then turning around and filing complaints with the Tribunal because those websites posted his comments in the first place. The CHRT sanctioned Warman by, in the case of Northern Alliance, not allowing him to collect a piece of the action (a portion of the $10,000 fine) as had been customary in his previous cases.
Arthur Topham is forbidden by court order from discussing who the two initial complainants were.
When interviewed by the Canadian jewish News, pliant now-former Royal Canadian Mounted Police worker Terry Wilson (age 51 and retired…nice), who was instrumental in getting the job done for the b’nai brith despite the odds, couldn’t pass up the chance to not only kick Arthur when he was down, but also trash his wife of nearly four decades, Shastah.
Topham also claimed that his wife Shastah is Jewish, a fact Wilson disputes. “He could say she was Jewish by birth but there was no way she would be Jewish by religion and stick with a guy who said things like that.”
A cop speaking his mind about a heinous criminal such as Arthur Topham is one thing. But going after the man’s wife of 37 years for “sticking around with him” is absolutely beyond the pale. Wilson ought to be ashamed of himself. His colleagues in the Police Community should be outraged.
The public face of the prosecution, Harry Abrams, was so elated he couldn’t contain himself when he commented on his own role in the CjN’s reportage.
Actually, Harry, if another website decides to mirror or reproduce Arthur’s writings, there is absolutely no legal consequence to Arthur himself. The only legal consequence would be to the reproducing website itself. And only if Arthur decided to sue for copyright infringement.
There have been spectacular “holocaust denier” trials in Canada in the past. Jim Keegstra, a schoolteacher who was ultimately convicted of “spreading hate against an identifiable group” for teaching his pupils alternative views of World War II history. Keegstra’s conviction was overturned on appeal and subsequently re-instated by the Supreme Court of Canada.
And then of course, there was Ernst Zundel. Zundel was charged under Canada’s criminal code for publishing (he wasn’t even the author; he merely owned the printing plant) a pamphlet entitled “Did Six Million Really Die?” Zundel was charged “spreading false news.”
Canada’s corporate media, the CjN included, were clearly hoping happy days were here again with Arthur Topham. It didn’t happen. They reported he had been charged three years ago (again, based on the complaints of Abrams and Warman). They reported the start of Arthur’s trial. They reported his conviction. But nothing in between. There was no show trial. No circus. No construction hard hats.
LettersToTheBeast is pleased to report Arthur’s website, RadicalPresss.com, is still up an running despite the efforts of the government.
On Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 11:27 a.m. in the British Columbia Supreme Court, city of Quesnel, I was pronounced “Guilty” by a jury of twelve men and women of the following criminal offence, also known as Count 1:
“Roy Arthur TOPHAM, between the 28th day of April, 2011 and the 4th day of May, 2012, inclusive, at or near Quesnel, in the Province of British Columbia, did by communicating statements, other than in private conversation, willfully promote hatred against an identifiable group, people of the Jewish religion or ethnic origin, contrary to Section 319(2) of the Criminal Code.”
Immediately following I was pronounced “Not Guilty” of a second and identical criminal offence, known as Count 2:
“Roy Arthur TOPHAM, between the 29th day of January, 2013 and the 11th day of December, 2013, inclusive, at or near Quesnel, in the Province of British Columbia, did by communicating statements, other than in private conversation, willfully promote hatred against an identifiable group, people of the Jewish religion or ethnic origin, contrary to Section 319(2) of the Criminal Code.”
Within moments of the jury leaving the courtroom Crown prosecutor Jennifer Johnson was seeking new bail conditions that would restrict even further my fundamental rights as contained in Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Defence Attorney Barclay Johnson immediately objected suggesting to Justice Bruce Butler that if Crown wants changes to my bail conditions then due process should be followed and Crown must file an application to that effect. Justice Butler agreed and the date of Thursday, November 19, 2015 was set for a hearing on Crown’s application. Later it was set for Friday, November 20th, 2015 at 10 a.m.
Given the fact that Crown has attempted on two earlier occasions to have stringent bail conditions imposed upon my freedom to operate RadicalPress.com it must be assumed that in this instance too Crown will be calling for either removal of my site from the Internet or else a total ban on my ability to operate it until final sentencing which is tentatively scheduled for late January of 2016.
In the event that Crown is able to accomplish either of its objectives, November 20th, 2015 could, theoretically, be the last day that I am able to communicate the status of my case on the Internet pending the outcome of my Charter challenge to Sec. 319(2).
LettersToTheBeast would also like to take the liberty of reprinting a few paragraphs of Arthur’s comments, should RadicalPress become Orwellized by the Canadian government:
Our collective dilemma
Only someone in a comatose condition or willfully blind to any form of self-reflection could deny the fact that the global state of affairs today has reached an extreme state of critical disharmony.
War, and the threat of war, environmental degradation, cancer rates of epic proportions, fear levels at an all-time high and an endless array of bureaucratic and media machinations all designed to confuse and obfuscate any remedial efforts on the part of the people to rectify this imminent threat to our collective condition are the order of the day. Then, coupled with all of these Orwellian conditions, is the growing threat by Zionist infiltrated nation states to introduce illogical, totalitarian, communist tactics such as “hate crime” legislation in order to penalize those who attempt to define and interpret the present narrative of negativity.
Numerous individual writers from the past have warned us repeatedly of what would happen if we didn’t get off our collective fanny and do something about what was happening but, as is the human condition, the general populace is too busy making a living, paying off their plastic, raising families and mesmerized by Big Brother’s “Eye” tv to find the time to address and dismantle these specious, serpentine moves of the Zionist lobbyist to put in place their anti-free speech “hate” legislation.
Now that the proverbial fecal matter is hitting the fan suddenly the truth revealers are getting broad-sided by this legislation and falsely accused and dragged before Stalinist “Show Trial”courts in order to plug the failing dams of deception that are currently crumbling before their very eyes.
In term of my own situation I’ve spent a lifetime searching for answers to this perennial problem of endless conflict and environmental destruction and now, at the ripe young age of 68, I can honestly and rightfully declare that all of my years of research and writing, coupled with the past 9 years of ‘harrowing’ legal hassles, only further corroborates and confirms that censorship of individuals who earnestly try to give warning to their fellow citizens and censorship of the Internet via the unscrupulous use of “hate crime” legislation must be stopped if we are to remain free to think, reason and peacefully protest against any form of oppression.
The final step in this ongoing process of ridding our country of the last remaining legal barrier (Sec. 319(2) of the criminal code will be a Constitutional challenge using the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, Sec. 2b which states:
Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:
(b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;
Israel and the Zionist agenda
All of the hate crime legislation in the world has been created by one group, the Zionist Jew lobby, working through B’nai Brith International and other similar orgs. They’ve set themselves up in every nation of the West and their primary purpose as agents of the state of Israel is to silence any and all criticism of the Zionist ideology and its debilitating effect upon human rights and freedom of expression. This fact is now beyond dispute and case after case where individuals are charged with these duplicitous “hate” crimes the complainants inevitably are dual citizens of the foreign state of Israel or else goy sycophants in the pay of these same lobbyists.
To support Israel is to support racism, apartheid, murder of innocents, theft of other nation’s land, the destruction of other cultures, war, destruction and endless terrorist acts and media deception on a scale never before witnessed in human history.
Any Western government that “stands with Israel” is admitting to and condoning and complicit with all of these barbaric and uncivilized actions that comprise the whole of what political Zionism entails.
My first duty as a human being is to acknowledge, revere and do the Will of the Creator – source of all life. God = Love = Truth. If I don’t include God in every equation related to my work and my life then it all becomes meaningless and devoid of that one fundamental principle which governs both the physical and spiritual realms. Any attempt at addressing the evils that men do which omits the Truth is futile. God gave man Free Will which ultimately implies the right to express himself without fear of state repression. The atheistic Zionist agenda would end that freedom of the mind and soul and for that reason alone it must be resisted all costs.
My purpose in all that I’ve done over my lifetime has been to shed light upon the machinations of those who would enslave us and silence us so that we’re not at liberty to express our thoughts and ideas. Censorship now remains the #1 threat to our global survival in that without the freedom to challenge the state (any state) and its dictates and demands we’re left bereft of the ability to speak the Truth. In this sense my struggle is every person’s struggle who desires to remain free and live in peace and harmony with their fellow human beings and all other life forms.
LettersToTheBeast continues to wish Arthur Topham and RadicalPress well. Arthur could have easily been cowed by the two notorious miscreants Abrams and Warman as well as b’nai brith. But he wasn’t. He made them work for their single conviction. And he brought attention to the outrageous and unconscionable control these people and organaization have over our public institutions. Arthur knew from the outset that going up against the likes of b’nai brith, its agents and its well-financed and influential backers would be like fighting Satan in a house fire. Or an oil refinery. (LettersToTheBeasts thanks two anonymous commenters in an Infowars story regarding Alex Jones’ divorce battle with his ex-wife Kelly for those analogies).
Arthur Topham’s sacrifice also brings up the right to and the need for anonymity. They are just as relevant today in the on-line universe as they were when Johanes Gutenberg re-invented the movable-type printing press nearly six centuries ago. Arthur wrote these articles and opinion pieces and published them under his own name. And now he’s paying the price.
This is a topic LettersToTheBeast will cover at a later time.
Please continue to support Arthur Topham by taking the largest currency note you have in your wallet and mailing it him at: 4633 Barkerville Highway, Quesnel, British Columbia, V2J 6T8, Canada.
Yeah, yeah. I know. tinfoil hat. Conspiracy kook, space aliens, etc, etc. Like those of us who engage in critical thinking haven’t heard that a million times before.
Just one question: What has government NOT lied about (just once) in the past, say, fifty years? Governments and media have lied so often and so convincingly for decades that only an idiot would just take their word for it. On anything.
We have the means to independently verify every fact we are exposed to. So grow a brain and start verifying.
Within hours of the shootings in Ottawa, websites which purported to “debunk” false flag claims came out of nowhere and rose to the top of Google searches.
“Establishment” media worked tirelessly to scrub any hint of dissent or inquiry from their comments sections. They are still reporting on this event (particularly Michael Zehaf-Bibeau’s “conversion to Islam angle”) however most comments are now disabled.
The most obvious question is this: how did Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, after shooting Nathan Cirillo manage to make the roughly-400-yard trek from the War Memorial to the Centre Block of the Parliament Buildings? Two hundred yards of that 400 would have been on the grounds of Parliament Hill itself. The parliament buildings resemble an armed camp any day of the year, never mind when parliament is in session and the prime minister and his cabinet are on the premises.
Did the entire RCMP security contingent and House of Commons Protective Services go on one big stand down? According to police reports, ten minutes elapsed between the time Cirillo (who was guarding the War Memorial with an unloaded rifle) was shot and the time Bibeau entered the Centre Block. It is absolutely unfathomable to believe that in the time it took Bibeau to make the 200-yard dash across the grounds from Wellington Street (after hopping the fence), armed officers wouldn’t be at the front door to greet him. Such incompetence on the part of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police would be like suggesting that the entire air defenses of the United States government stood down on September 11, 2001. Absolutely incomprehensible.
The narrative tells us that the House’s the sergeant-at-arms Kevin Vickers heroically shot Bibeau with his sidearm. Was Bibeau meant to get further? Was Vickers’ presence overlooked in crafting the script? Was Vickers set up to be the hero all along (they sure had his biography ready for the media in a hurry)? We may never know. I lean towards the former. Vickers’ actions give ammunition (pun intended) to opponents of gun control who maintain the only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Too bad Cirillo couldn’t be trusted with a loaded gun.
In every “mass shooting” (and I concede this wasn’t technically a mass shooting; Vickers stopped it in its tracks), you have a “hero narrative.” That would be Vickers. However, in this instance, you also have cowardice. Michelle Rempel, M.P. For Calgary North, tweeted, Mom im okay Im in hiding. Yeah, that the image we want our “leaders” to project. Hiding and sending twitter messages to their mothers. Of course, if Rempel is anything like my M.P., Rob Nicholson, she’s been in hiding since the day she was elected. It is worth noting that in most of Alberta, if a chimpanzee were allowed to stand for office, he would be elected provided he ran as a Conservative. It’s just that easy.
Then there was Stephen “Steve” Harper. While receiving a briefing about the “situation” from R.C.M.P. Commissioner Robert “Bob” Paulson, Harper was drinking a glass of wine. So either Harper, who claims to be a teetotaler, “suffers” from alcoholism so severe that he not only needs to drink on the job but will allow himself to be photographed while doing so. Or, was Steve so confident that the script was being followed as planned that he allowed himself to feel relaxed. Not unlike George W. Bush reading My Pet Goat (upside down) while his country was literally under attack.
While the shooting incidents were unfolding, the RCMP presumed to direct citizens not to upload cellphone photos and videos. Apparently, they don’t possess cellphone killers unlike their American colleagues.
Fortunately, none of their officers channeled Paul Vance, the Connecticut State Police employee who threatened to arrest anybody reporting information about Sandy Hook that didn’t come explicitly from him.
The Ottawa “attack” was preceded by a hit-and-run incident two days earlier in Quebec which resulted in the injury of one soldier, whose identify has not been released and the death of another , Patrice Vincent. The incident was quickly held up by the Harper regime as “homegrown terrorism,” even as the Quebec provincial police were conducting an independent investigation. The suspect in the hit-and-run, Martin “Ahmad” (of course) Rouleau, another Muslim “convert,” was subsequently shot and killed by police.
On October 16, a week before the Ottawa shooting incident and four days prior to the Quebec hit-and-run incident, public safety minister Steven Blaney (CON-Quebec City) announced legislation which would “crack down” on “homegrown terrorists” and give the spy agency CSIS (Canadian Security Intelligence Service) more powers, particularly with regards to its relationships with other members of the “Five Eyes.”
Sources suggest the government is likely to bring in new hate speech legislation that would make it illegal to claim terrorist acts are justified online.
The Prime Minister told the House of Commons on Thursday that Canada’s law and policing powers need to be strengthened in the areas of surveillance, detention and arrest. He said work is already under way to provide law enforcement agencies with “additional tools” and that work will now be expedited.
The Conservative MP (unnamed in the original article) said the new legislation was crafted before this week’s events and is not “trauma tainted.”
Michael Zehaf-Bibeau was said to be depressed, mentally ill and a drug addict. And he had a history of petty crime. A perfect candidate, as it turns out, for an interested party to mold him into their own image.
The subject of “mind control” is generally relegated to late night talk radio and / or radio programming originating out of Austin, Texas.
The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s long-running investigative documentary program The Fifth Estate ran a segment called The Sleep Room in 1984. The report documented the C.I.A.’s role in sleep deprivation, mind control and other psychological warfare experiments at Montreal’s Allan Memorial Institute in the 1950s and 1960s. The experiments were overseen by psychiatrist Donald Ewen Cameron. The experiments supposedly ended when Cameron died in 1967. Cameron’s “work” was part of a larger program known as Project MK (Mind Kontrol) Ultra.
SSRIs and other anti anti-depressants figure prominently into both mass-shootings as well as contrived “terrorist” plots which the Federal Bureau Incineration and Royal Canadian Mounted Police always seem to be breaking up.
Mitchell Johnson, who was 13 years old in 1998 when he and his then-11-year-old cousin Andrew Golden shot and killed five people and wounded 11 others, was being “treated” with anti-depressants. Eric Harris, one of the two (that we know of) Columbine shooters was similarly being treated.
In fact, you would be hard-pressed to find a “mass-shooting” incident where mental illness compounded with prescription anti-depressants didn’t play a major role.
Of course, if you really want to wave a red flag in front of the gun-grabbers and enrage them until there is mucus spraying out of their noses, bring up the fact that all of these “mass-shootings” happened in places where guns were banned. Either by the institution or business where they happened, or the state they happened in. Even in carry states, having a gun in a business or institution that has banned it is treated as illegal possession. Mind you, had Michael Zehaf-Bibeau carried out his attack at the U.S. Capitol instead of Ottawa, Canada, and had U.S. Capitol police stood down just like the R.C.M.P., we can be certain he wouldn’t have gotten past Dianne Feinstein.
When the FBI and the RCMP break up the contrived “terror plots,” the participants are always drug addicts or otherwise troubled young people. Just like our Mr. Bibeau. John Nuttall and Amanda Korody, the Vancouver-area couple charged with “plotting” to blow up the B.C. Legislature, were recovering drug addicts who were receiving methadone treatments from a neighborhood pharmacy. They lived in a basement apartment. They were jobless. Oh, yes, they were also Muslim converts. It is interesting to note that their local mosque had thrown them out because they were troublemakers. Nuttall and Korody were expressing sentiments which were sympathetic to al-Qaeda (which they apparently didn’t know was al-ciada).
We can be certain, however, that in this case and every plot that has been broken up, the public was never, ever in danger because as RCMP Deputy Commissioner Wayne Rideout said (referring to the Nuttall / Korody case): “(the RCMP used a variety of techniques to) monitor and control (the accused throughout their conspiracy)…the suspects were committed to acts of violence and discussed a wide variety of targets and techniques. In order to ensure public safety, we employed a variety of complex investigative and covert techniques to control any opportunity the suspects had to commit harm.” In other words, they have their man on the inside and won’t let things get out of hand. Unless, of course, they need to.
Parliament Hill shooter kicked out of Burnaby mosque two years ago
Zehaf-Bibeau was asked to leave the mosque, because he had “gotten a hold of keys and stuff from the mosque, and when he got out of jail, he just started sleeping there”
The list of mass-shootings, terror plots (contrived, successful and otherwise) that feature SSRIs, mental illness, drug addiction and other “strange” people is just too long to be covered in this article. However, it is safe to say we can add Michael Zehaf-Bibeau to the list.
I am not suggesting that Stephen Harper personally ordered this attack. I don’t believe any member of the Harper regime “ordered” it or had it carried out. Any number of organizations could have been “in on it.” The C.I.A. and the Mossad (israel) come to mind first and foremost. The Council on Foreign Relations has become one of Harper’s most reliable patrons. The C.F.R., headed by David Rockefeller, counts among its most legendary members war criminals Henry Kissinger, Richard “Penis” Cheney and Richard Haas. When it comes to terrorism (whether it be the traditional blow-stuff-up kind, the tyrannical police-state kind, the takeover-non-compliant-government-kind or the more genteel, kinder, softer Goldman-Sachs-rob-the-bank-wearing-an-Armani-suit kind), the Council on Foreign Relations takes a back seat to nobody. With the possible exception of the Trilateral Commission, of whom James Moore, M.P., (CON-Port Moody-Westwood-Port Conquitlam) and current Industry minister is a member. (Hey, Jim, I’ve taken a screenshot from your website so don’t bother trying to memory hole it).
Speaking of Goldman Sachs, it just so happens that Steve was down in the City speaking at their world headquarters. Among other things, he discussed the problem of young people going overseas and becoming terrorists. Strangely though, the phenomenon of young Canadians and Americans participating in war crimes and terrorism for the israeli Occupation Army didn’t come up.
There are no real terrorists. At least, not the Hollywood-type Central Casting terrorists we have been trained to fear. The people around the world whose lives have been destroyed by israeli, American, “federal” “reserve” and other bankster aggression know the end of dollar hegemony is near. And with it, the end of the War Of Terror. Furthermore, they know that the very people who live in countries governed by their attackers have had it.
Britain said it would not participate in Iraq III. So what is “ISIS’s” response? Kidnap a Brit, cut his head off and post the video in order to get the Brits so riled up they will want to change their minds and destroy ISIS. Turkey would not allow the U.S. and its allies to use its airspace. So what does ISIS do? It sends missiles across the border from Syria. Canada didn’t participate in Iraq II (the 2003 Shock and Awe / Mission Accomplished thing). Canadians are just as opposed now as we were over a decade ago. So what does ISIS do? Attack Canada and get the Canadian people angry and demanding blood. None of this makes any sense.
If you want to invade a country because peoples’ heads are being cut off, you might want to start with Saudi Arabia.
I knew why, because I had been through the Pentagon right after 9/11. About ten days after 9/11, I went through the Pentagon and I saw Secretary Rumsfeld and Deputy Secretary Wolfowitz. I went downstairs just to say hello to some of the people on the Joint Staff who used to work for me, and one of the generals called me in. He said, “Sir, you’ve got to come in and talk to me a second.” I said, “Well, you’re too busy.” He said, “No, no.” He says, “We’ve made the decision we’re going to war with Iraq.” This was on or about the 20th of September. I said, “We’re going to war with Iraq? Why?” He said, “I don’t know.” He said, “I guess they don’t know what else to do.” So I said, “Well, did they find some information connecting Saddam to al-Qaeda?” He said, “No, no.” He says, “There’s nothing new that way. They just made the decision to go to war with Iraq.” He said, “I guess it’s like we don’t know what to do about terrorists, but we’ve got a good military and we can take down governments.” And he said, “I guess if the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem has to look like a nail.”
So I came back to see him a few weeks later, and by that time we were bombing in Afghanistan. I said, “Are we still going to war with Iraq?” And he said, “Oh, it’s worse than that.” He reached over on his desk. He picked up a piece of paper. And he said, “I just got this down from upstairs” — meaning the Secretary of Defense’s office — “today.” And he said, “This is a memo that describes how we’re going to take out seven countries in five years, starting with Iraq, and then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and, finishing off, Iran.” I said, “Is it classified?” He said, “Yes, sir.” I said, “Well, don’t show it to me.” And I saw him a year or so ago, and I said, “You remember that?” He said, “Sir, I didn’t show you that memo! I didn’t show it to you!”
In Canada, elections do not have constitutionally-mandated dates. However, by law (which can be repealed), set election dates every four years on the third Monday in October. This would require an election on October 19, 2015. Harper ignored this law during his last mandate and called an early election on May 2, 2011. HOWEVER…the constitution sets the maximum life of a government at five years (which would take the regime through to May, 2016). In event of a national emergency (war, insurrection or disaster), a government can even exceed its five-year lifespan with the consent of 2/3 of all members of parliaments. Since the ruling Conservative Party only has 161 of the 308 seats, that is a highly unlikely circumstance; it would require 42 more votes than it currently has).
Historically, in Canada, governments that remain in office more than four years are regarded as seriously in trouble with the voters. In October, 2016, the Harper regime’s mandate will have been four years and five months into its mandate.
Canadians, Americans, Britons and mainland Europeans have had it with their governments. We have had it with usurpation by israel. We have had it with the banksters. The Dollar is near death. The regimes have tried everything else and failed. Now all they have left (short of nukes) is the false flag. And this week, it was Canada’s turn.
TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — A group of young Israeli expats have unleashed controversy back home by encouraging others to join them in Berlin, touching on two of the most sensitive issues in Israel: the country’s high cost of living and Jews’ tortured history with Germany.
If they think things are bad now, just wait until their dual-nationals in Europe and the U.S. collapse the economy once and for all. You want to see outrage in israel? Wait until the tribute from overseas stops flowing in.
The bullcrap media still plods along as if its readership is still captive. As if we have no means of independently verifying the claims it makes.
The Globe and Mail is a Toronto-based newspaper which is also published in five other Canadian cities. Its daily paid circulation is less than 300,000. In a country of 35,000,000. The population of Toronto alone is 2-1/2 million. It claims circulation is up slightly over its Toronto competitors. However, like its competitors, it hands out thousands of free copies in public venues such as subway stations, universities and government buildings.
The reality is that, like the rest of the newspaper business, the Globe and Mail is moribund. And here is yet another example. After the lessons of “9/11” and “Saddam’s Nukular Bombs” the b-s media is quick to jump on any hint of dissent or even suspicion when it comes to the narrative they are expected to spread.
If you believe the story about “dancing israelis” on September 11, 2001 and that Yousef al-Khattab, Adam Ghadan and Abu Talhah al-Amrikee used to be known as Joseph Cohen, Adam Pearlman and Zachary Chesser (respectively) you hate the jews, you want to gas them all and you are a conspiracy theorist. If you believe there are certain unanswered questions about what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School, you are mentally ill and a you are a conspiracy theorist. If you don’t believe Bashar al-Assad gassed his own people within sight of the United Nations chemical weapons inspectors on the very day they arrived, you are in league with the terrorists and you are a conspiracy theorist. If you don’t believe Vladimir Putin personally shot down Malysian Airlines flight 17, you are a dirty rotten commie and you are a conspiracy theorist. I could go on.
Let’s go through this one-by-one.
Why many Pakistanis have turned against Peace Prize nominee Malala
Malala Yousafzai is a CIA agent. She might also be working for Pakistani intelligence services and MI6. It’s also entirely possible she’s on the payroll of Zionists and spending her spare time feeding information to Indian spies.
A lot of work for a 16-year-old.
By the way, that’s not me being facetious. Those are actually the kinds of allegations leveled against the young Malala by a motley crew of shrill right-wing characters, united by their suspicion that the young activist is not an agent of change but an agent of the west.
Well, okay. Maybe she’s not working for the C.I.A. However, when Nayirah al-Sabah gave her tearful testimony before the U.S. Congress and spun her tale about how she had witnessed Iraqi soldiers grabbing babies out of incubators at a hospital in Kuwait, throwing those babies on the floor and stealing the incubators, she was a full year younger than Yousafzai. And while al-Sabah is not known to have been working for the CIA (at the time, anyway), it was established shortly thereafter whom she was working for: public relations firm Hill and Knowlton.
Every culture has its shorthand. In Pakistan, foreign connections can earn you a reference as either “CIA ka aadmi” or “Agencies ka banda” – the CIA’s man or working for “the Agencies” (Pakistan’s intelligence services). It’s typically said in jest. Well, mostly. But it does point to a broader problem: The latent and not-so-latent paranoia that infuses Pakistani society.
Trust no one. Everyone has an agenda. Pakistan is a victim of the “foreign hand.”
And why do you suppose that is? Could it be because the C.I.A.’s interference in governments around the world has become so pervasive and so destructive that anybody with two brain cells to rub together can see who their operatives are now? Notice the X-Files reference there? Nice.
You can find anti-Malala pages on Facebook, you can read anti-Malala screeds online and in various newspapers in Pakistan. There are “truthers” who closely investigate pictures from the day the young woman was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman. They painstakingly go through photographs, comparing her head wound and blood spatter from various angles. They say things like the shooting was a fantastic hoax and Malala staged it to get famous, to get a visa.
It harkens back to the accusations leveled against another activist, Mukhtaran Mai. Apparently she got gang raped as a way to emigrate.
I was wonder when Mustafa would get around to “The Truthers.” You know? The people who are so sick and tired of having being lied to by governments for DECADES that they don’t believe anything (I’m one of them, by the way). Notice how the typist moves on to the classic straw man argument when he brings up how Mkhataran Mai “got gang raped as a way to emigrate?” Would-be debunkers love the straw man.
The national conversation in Pakistan on any given issue is highly polarized whether it’s minority rights, drones, corruption, or even fashion. It’s all treated as a zero sum game: why fret about Malala when “so many Malalas” are being killed in drone strikes in the tribal areas? As though people can’t care about both. Why worry about Malala when Aafia Siddiqui, “the daughter of the nation,” is wasting away in an American prison? As though one has anything to do with the other.
Well, what about it, Mustafa? What about those drone strikes? What about so many thousands of people killed that it would be intolerable, even to the American public? What about the U.S. government even threatening “allied” nations whose human rights authorities compile reports on the total number of civilians killed by drone strikes?
What about weddings and funerals being attacked by drone strikes?
Why is Malala Yousufzai even seen as a threat? She’s not advocating for anything that isn’t already on the books in Pakistan – that girls have a right to education. It’s not a new idea, it’s not a western idea. And while the majority of girls (and women) in Pakistan are illiterate, educated Pakistani women are hardly a novelty.
Given Malala Yousafzai’s remarkable command of the English language – unusual for a teenager from the Swat Valley of Pakistan – it doesn’t appear that she had any trouble at all obtaining an education. In fact, he eloquence and her annunciation puts an African-American (to use the popular parlance) yout’ from any American city to shame.
Which brings me to a rather peculiar quandary. I’ve always been suspicious of “demonstrations” taking place in other countries where the signs are invariably in English. This has often been a hallmark of the Soros “color revolutions” (oops, I did it again; another conspiracy theory!). The number of people in places like Egypt, Iran or the Ukraine who are proficient not only in English but the Roman alphabet is infinitesimal. And those people that are would most certainly be in positions of power (university professors, high government officials, etc). And that group of people would likely be the most satisfied with the status-quo. Your average working class Egyptian, Iranian or Ukrainian has a valid grievance when it comes to government oppression, corruption and the cost of living among other things. But it is doubtful that he or she would be capable of conjugating their complaints in the form of English signs.
When demonstrations are held here in Canada, signs are in English, not Farsi. Because English is the predominant language in this country. And you want your message to be understood by the target of your demonstration and those around you.
When the bullcrap media reports on events in places such as Syria, Lebanon, Libya and Iraq, I am always amazed at how many of the “dissidents,” peace activists and members of “governments in exile” have British accents indicative of an education at Eton and Cambridge or Oxford, for example.
Malala Yousafzai gave a beautiful speech at the United Nations. Of that there is no question. And that it is why so many of us heathen “truthers” and “conspiracy theorists” are so suspicious.
The problem, fundamentally, goes back to paranoia and the addiction to the zero sum game. The fact is that there is a very vocal minority (I can’t bring myself to accept it’s a majority), amplified by a slick media machine, thinks the Taliban and their ilk are right on. It’s not so much what Malala Yousafzai says about education, it’s that she doesn’t like the Taliban and has said so. Loudly. Again and again.
i am not qualified to speculate on the Taliban’s poll numbers in Pakistan. But I can tell my readers and his that a majority of Americans (and this number can likely be extrapolated around the world) now accept that the U.S. government was complicit in, if not outright culpable for, the events of September 11, 2001.
And it has nothing to do with “paranoia” and a “slick media machine.” The only thing the slick media machines are doing is trying to convince us that everything is okay, government loves us, always tells the truth and anyone who says otherwise is a tinfoil-hat-wearing conspiracy kook. Now go back to work, pay your taxes, keep breeding soldiers and, for the love of God, please patronize our advertisers and buy our newspapers.
And she can’t simply be against the Taliban because she’s seen them blow up schools, and flog people in public, she must be against them because surely she’s serving a foreign master. How else would she get such immediate medical attention abroad? Why else would people all over the world be concerned for her? How else could she get a visa to live and go to school in the U.K.
Seems to me that Moustafa has answered his own question. Assuming the whole “shot in the head by the Taliban” narrative is one hundred per cent true, just as reported: How did she get such exceptional medical treatment? Is it remotely possible that she was seen as so telegenic, and had such public relations potential, that she would be irresistible to a western intelligence agency and / or public relations firm?
And, Mr. Moustafa, I can assure you that Canadians, Americans, Europeans and Australians know exactly how it feels to live in a country hijacked by a ruling class serving a foreign master. We have been living under such governments for nearly seventy years.
It’s difficult to underscore just how besieged by outsiders these groups feel, especially by the United States. The drone campaign is just one example. There are myriad ways they see Pakistan as a victim of American policies – not all of it fantasy. But they also feel besieged from within by elements they feel are trying to take the Islam out of the Islamic Republic. It’s led to a bunker mentality and any perceived threat to their version of the national narrative deserves a swift and harsh response. Even if that threat is in the shape of a child who just wants to go to school.
Actually, no. It’s not difficult to understand at all. Only the “element” we are dealing with – is called “israel.” Their dual-nationals are at the highest levels of government, finance, education and media. And those that aren’t israeli nations at least follow their orders to the letter.
Blowing up weddings, funerals, schools, hospitals, houses, apartment buildings, mosques, anywhere where people gather. Is that all it is, Moustafa? A “drone campaign?” Seems like mass murder to me. And this “child” of yours is fronting for the two (possibly three, but no Mossad link has been established or even alleged, yet) of the countries most responsible for screwing up her country in the first place.
I have to go back to an apology I have made in previous posts. Let’s assume that everything regarding Yousafzai is as we are told, She is sweet and innocent. She was brutally attacked. She is a legitimate, true-blue activist for peace and children’s rights (particularly girls). The problem we have is that we have been lied to so many times before, that a significant minority – and perhaps even a majority – just aren’t buying it.
