FLORIDA: Government throws millions of people out of work, spends millions of dollars on failed Unemployment Compensation system

The Orlando region, as with the rest of Florida, is dependent on tourism dollars. Sea World, Universal Studios, Walt Disney World, the smaller parks, the hotels, the restaurants, the tour bus companies, the bars, the restaurants, the Uber drivers have all been decimated by the Lockdown / Crackdown on the American people. The minimum wage workers upon whose backs Orlando is built upon have been wiped out.

Florida’s bare-bones unemployment compensation system was never really a problem because there was ALWAYS a job to be found somewhere.

In the past six weeks, since all levels of government, from cities and counties to the District of Criminals, conspired to shut down the economy and pull the rug out from tens of millions of workers across the country, the state of Florida’s “Re-employment Assistance” website, connect.myflorida, com has melted down and has yet to come back to life. And in a stroke of absolute genius, going on-line is the only way to apply for benefits. And once workers are in the system, they must continue going on line every two weeks to “request payment.

So, rather than give the all-clear, put millions of Floridans back to work and get things back to normal, the state’s response has been to spend over $100-million to expand its website and its call center.

Two weeks ago, the state announced it had spent $25-million to expand the number of servers. This would increase the site’s capacity from 60,000 simultaneous connections to 120,000. Apparently, nobody in Tallahassee has ever heard of Amazon Web Service.

WKMG reported:

Most applicants reported a better experience and for the first time were able to file for unemployment using the new site last week.

The recent spending is more than twice what it cost in 2013 to create the DEO’s online reemployment assistance system, known as CONNECT. It cost $63 million to create the system under former Gov. Rick Scott’s administration, records show.

As of 4pm on Monday, April 13, 2020, a user attempting to access connect.my.florida.com and entering his credentials, received a “run time error” script, after about five minutes.

While Orlando wages have remained stagnant for many workers (the minimum wage is less than $9 per hour and many workers – even skilled workers – are lucky to make $15, rents have exploded over the past three years. April 1 came and went with many workers unable to meet their rent obligations. And May 1 is just around the corner. While homeowners are being afforded the opportunity to defer their payments, at some point renters will have to make up those missed payments in short order.

Orange County, where Orlando resides, set up a program to “assist” 1,500 residents with their rental obligations. The county was overwhelmed with over 26,000 pleas for help before it pulled the plug.

Jerry Demings is the husband of Orlando congress woman Valdez “Val” Demings (D) FL-10. So far Congress woman Demings has been silent regarding the government-mandated economic devastation of her constituents.

Government at all levels, both Democrat and Republican, would do well to put a stop to this, let people get back to work and let the chips fall where they may.

Whether government is deliberately using the China Virus as a means of finding out just how much we are willing to take is unclear. However bureaucrats and politicians, particularly those in the free and non-infringed states, would be well advised to back off. Now. Before the law of unintended consequences hits them hard.

Peoples’ lives are at stake. This is NOT a cartoon.

While Orlando Congress Critter Valdez (Val) Demings was performing her impeachment hoax, President Trump was being distracted from the newly-formed Wuhan Virus

The economy of Orlando, Florida, as the rest of the United States and much of the world, has been devastated. The hundreds of thousands of low-wage – mostly minimum-wage – workers upon whose backs this city was built upon are out of work.

We can thank, in part, Val Demings, (D-FL-10), Orlando’s congress critter who was returned to the District of Criminals by default in 2018 because the Republicans couldn’t even bother fielding a candidate.

Trump Impeachment

Demings, not to be confused with her uglier, older sister Maxine Waters…

Wells Fargo CEO Tim Sloan Testifies Before House Financial Services Committee

…has made a good life for herself. A former Orlando police worker, she rose through the ranks to become chief of police. While on the job, she met Jerry Demings, an Orange County sheriff’s deputy. They got hitched. Val got elected to congress. Jerry was elected sheriff, and eventually mayor of Orange County, which encompasses Orlando. Despite those middle-class roots, the Demings have managed to build up a $5-million fortune since Val went to Congress.

The State of Florida has a less-than-minimal unemployment compensation system. It pays $275 per week for up to 12 weeks. Until now, it really wasn’t needed. There was ALWAYS a job to be had in Florida. Even if it involved working at a McDonald’s or a Stop n Rob. All that changed last month. In Orlando, there are literally NO jobs. The streets are deserted. Even Uber was dead.

Last week, your humble correspondent called Val’s office in the District of Criminals and gave the fart-catcher who answered her phone what-for. I reminded him that Demings, as a member of the impeachment committee, was part of the prosecution against President Trump. I reminded him that while she was busy with her impeachment hoax, President Trump was distracted from, among other things, the virus which was then breaking out in China.

I told him, “I don’t care if we’re living under a bridge in November, there is no way in hell my wife or I would ever vote for Democrat.”

The fart-catcher said, “I have no comment to make. I will pass that along to the congress critter woman.

Not content with that effort to make my voice known, I wrote a letter using the only means available to the average public: the web form. Congress critters do not public their e-mails or fax numbers. You can drop a letter in the mail if you want.

Dear Mrs. Demings:

While the China Flu was just breaking out in Wuhan last Fall, President Trump was being distracted by your impeachment hoax.

My wife and are as working class as they come. We own our own home on America Street. My wife works at one of the larger theme parks in town. Until two weeks ago, I drove a bus.

I want you to know that, for this among many other reason, there is no way in hell either of us would ever vote for you or any other Democrat. I don’t care if we’re both living under the 408 come next November, President Trump can count on our support NO MATTER WHAT.

This was done TO US . This is not an economic circumstance. This is economic sabotage.

And while the Republicans were trying to get a disaster relief bill through congress as quickly as possible, you people were busy loading it up with Democrats’ nocturnal emissions like same-day voter registration. You piled on crap that has nothing to do with the current emergency. Money for the Kennedy Center. Yeah, that’s what we’re really worried about right now.

We have an unprecedented, catastrophic economic emergency here in Orlando. Hundreds of thousands of people have been thrown out of work in our city ALONE. Millions across the country. And why is the Democrats top priority? Illegal aliens. Airplane emissions. The Post Office. And, of course, pork. Lots and lots and lots of pork.

Most of us don’t have millions of dollars in unexplained wealth built up over the past four years that we can fall back on. Myself, I had just left a lower paying job for a much higher paying one in January when the rug got pulled out from underneath me on March 15.

I was watching the senate vote live last week when your party voted against US. Hours later, Nancy “I want my crumbs back” Pelosi came out with her 1,400 page bill. How long does it take to write 1,400 pages anyway? I can only imagine what would have been in those hundreds of pages, but I suppose you would have had to pass it before we could find out.

My wife and I are absolutely disgusted with you and your criminal, corrupt Democrat party. For everything you have tried to do for the past four years, I can only hope that, when President Trump is re-elected in November with a landslide, and the Republicans see similarly impressive results in the House and Senate, he appoints an Attorney General with the courage to go after your party under RICO. The stench is truly that bad.

And, Biden? You’ve got to friggin’ kidding us.

In closing, you have managed to do what nobody would have thought possible. You have destroyed the economy of Central Florida. You have put hundreds of thousands of low-wage workers out of work, to the point where even McDonalds isn’t hiring.

You must be very proud of yourself.

Enjoy your millions.

Well, it would appear our congress crooks don’t give a shit what we think, because when I clicked on “submit:”

Demings and her fellow corrupt members of congress (Democrat, Republican and Miscellaneous) may be secure in the knowledge that voters will never rise up against their criminality, theft, extortion, insider training and other on-the-job misdeeds. Unfortunately – for them – they are making a tactical error. Government has ordered tens of millions of people OFF THE JOB. People who have a lot of time on their hands.

As John F. Kennedy (R.I.P.) once observed…

You know, Val, you guys are making things pretty goddamned hard to do things the easy way.

Cox Media Bullshit: Graphs predict Florida is a month away from peak of COVID-19

Isn’t that impressive? They have graphs. And computers. And models. Big, pretty, colorful ones. They come out of big machines. They are held up by men wearing white coats over suits and ties. Are you gushing with admiration yet?

Graphs predict Florida is a month away from peak of COVID-19

Published:
Researchers from the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics created graphs showing how COVID-19 or the coronavirus is projected to impact every U.S. state and Florida is expected to become the next epicenter, behind New York, but is not expected to peak until May 6.

The model shows the timing of deaths and what resources are available in each state.

Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO) websites and local and national governments the graphs show Florida is expected to see 136 deaths per day between May 3 and May 6, then the fatalities will trend down to near zero by June 29.

The estimated number of deaths by August 4, 2020 is 5.568 for Florida.

Researchers estimate that the state will be short 297 ICU hospital beds at the peak of the outbreak and will possibly need more than 3,000 ventilators during that time.

Okay, so…lemme get this straight. By August 4, 2020, the crystal ball over at that bastion of higher learning, the University of Washington, says that 5,568 people will have died of the Kung Flu in Florida alone.

If true…let’s see here…population of Florida…ahh, dammit! Hey, Google! What is the population of Florida?

screenshot_20200401-155658

Twenty one point three million. Okay, thanks, Google. So, 5,568 people. Divided by 21,300,000. Now, uh, carry, the two…0.002614085.

So, you’re telling me, these bastards in the city halls, county sheriffs departments, Tallahassee and the District of Criminals have shut down the entire economy of Florida, thrown millions of people out of work – most of them being the least able to afford it – closed the bars, restaurants, stores, hotels, restaurants, buses, beaches, theme parks, schools and pretty much anywhere two people might gather and engage in commerce

Because ONE QUARTER  OF ONE PER CENT OF PEOPLE IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA

MIGHT, MAYBE, POSSIBLY, DIE OF THE WUHAN CHINA KUNG FLU VIRUS

are-you-fucking-5ae8ea?

Perhaps the University of Washington, Cox Media or some other beacon of investigative journalism could determine how the owners of Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World (respectively, the Walt Disney Company, Comcast and Anheuser-Busch) consented to simply closing down their parks, indefinitely, no questions asked.

What kind of bailout candy did a congress critter or senator sneak into those-nearly 900 pages which made the companies not only so compliant to the government, but – in the case of Disney and Universal – so generous as to continue paying their staff (part time and full time) for the duration of the closure?

Wealthy newlyweds who hold their nuptials at Walt Disney World in Orlando can expect to spend to pay over $180,000 to rent the Magic Kingdom park for four hours, after the park has closed. Yet Disney is closing EVERYTHING. All the parks. The Magic Kingdom. EPCOT Center, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, the DOZENS of hotels located within its 25,000-acre compound. Disney Springs, the commercial tourist trap.

Universal Orlando Resort isn’t quite as big as Disney, but it is a sizable operation nonetheless.

We are to believe these companies simply shut the parks down because they are good citizens? Really?

The longer this martial law lockdown (in everything but name) carries on, the closer and closer this powder keg gets to exploding.

In Florida, the only way to apply for unemployment compensation is to go to their website and jump through numerous hoops. And, yesterday, that site went down with no realistic prospects for recovery.

And, as financial commentator Gerald Celente often says…

quote-when-people-have-nothing-left-to-lose-and-they-ve-lost-everything-they-lose-it-gerald-celente-72-67-77

This has absolutely nothing to do with a virus or public health, and everything to do with internationally co-ordinated state crackdowns USING the China virus as the premise.

The fact that we have gone along with it this far without resistance is terrifying. Just imagine how much government will tighten the screws in the near future.

CBC Bullshit: New CBSA numbers show dramatic plunge in Canada-U.S. travel amid pandemic restrictions

The governments of Canada and the United States have jointly restricted access to each others’ country. In a journalistic level of intrepidity worthy of Pulitzer Prize, Canada’s state broadcaster has discovered that cross border traffic is…wait for it…drumroll…way…DOWN!

Yes, you heard that right! With traffic being restricted to commercial truckers, cross-border commuters, and “essential” traffic, the line-ups at the border are…DOWN!
