Our friends at CTV (the Canadian Television Network), by way of the Associated Press are back on the Assad-gassed-his-own-people train again. Oh, boy. This is getting very tiresome. And, frankly, insulting. All right. Deep breath. Let’s take this apart one-by-one. And use it as a template for the carbon-copy Bullshit Corporate Media stories (again, “story” being the operative word here). We shouldn’t be mad at CTV as much as the author of this nonsense, Associated Press. Having seen its viewership plummet since the internet made it possible to fact check its claim in a matter of seconds, CTV has laid off its newsroom staff less than skeleton levels. That means they will pick up any story that fills space on its website or time in its newscast. Not unlike how small town weekly rags will be filled with wedding announcements and press releases from politicians and local businesses masquerading as news.

Pressure building to condemn Syria over chemical weapons

Pressure is building for the United Nations to condemn Syria over the use of chemical weapons as the Security Council prepares to discuss a report by weapons inspectors that found the Syrian government deployed chemical weapons on at least two occasions and is suspected of deploying them in at least three other instances.

“Pressure?” Pressure from whom? “Suspected?” “At least?” Seriously?

Human Rights Watch on Tuesday called on the Security Council to impose sanctions on the Syrian government over the chemical weapons’ use and to refer the case to the International Criminal Court. The report also found that the Islamic State group, which is already under U.N. sanctions, was behind at least one chemical attack.

Human Rights Watch. Ohhh, George Soros. Well, why didn’t you just say so in the first place?  And I see we’re back to using “The Islamic State” again. I’m all for bringing them to the International Criminal Court. But somehow, I don’t think John McCain, the Arizona senator who had numerous selfies taken with “ISIS” types (including Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi / Simon Eliot) is going to go quietly. Neither is former Canadian foreign minister and current member of parliament Robert “Rob” Nicholson (CON-Niagara Falls). Nicholson, of course, was foreign minister when Mohammed al-Rashad, a Canadian Security Intelligence agent, was arrested in Turkey while trying to smuggle three teen British girls into Syria to fight for this ISIS outfit.

“We think ISIS – that outfit we air-dropped the food and guns and ammo and sent the Toyota pick ip trucks to – did one attack. Maybe. But we’re really, really sure Assad did the rest. Trust us.”

“This has been a political minefield for five and a half years but we have something different, we have a U.N.-backed mechanism with a report,” said Louis Charbonneau, U.N. director at Human Rights Watch. “We have it in black and white that the Syrian Government and ISIS are responsible for using chemical weapons, it’s a crime and the Security Council has many tools it can use, so we expect them to use them all.”

Remember those black and white satellite photos that Colin Powell represented as “clear and convincing” proof of Saddam’s weapons of mass destruction? And isn’t that a great title Louise has? “U.N. Director?” The woman has absolutely nothing to do with the United Nations. She used to, but not any longer. But she gives herself the title “U.N. Director” as if associating herself (once gain) with the United Nations gives her some credibility. And of course, the A.P.’s typist (with the willing consent of CTV’s editors) lap it up. Orwelling newspeak and doublespeak.

Hint: Satellite photos don’t come in black and white. They come in colour. Oh, and, just a reminder, that “decontamination vehicle” turned out to be one of these things…

The 95-page report compiled by an international team of inspectors and released last week, found that the Syrian government and Islamic State militants carried out chemical attacks in 2014 and 2015 and blamed the government for using chlorine gas in two attacks and Islamic State fighters for using mustard gas in one attack.

No kidding. Any luck on tracking down who was responsible for the chemical weapons attack which took place in Waco, Texas on April 19, 1993? “They” used  o-chlorobenzylidene malononitrile dissolved in methelyine chloride. And “international inspectors…” You don’t say…

The inspectors investigated nine cases in seven towns and determined responsibility in three cases. They said three more attacks pointed toward government involvement but weren’t conclusive, and described three others as inconclusive.

“described three others as inconclusive.” What, you couldn’t even make up a convincing lie for those ones?

When the report was released, U.S. Ambassador Samantha Power said the inspectors’ findings mirrored “numerous other confirmed cases of chemical weapons use across Syria, and countless other allegations of such use, including as recently as several weeks ago.”

Ah, yes. Our old friend Samantha Powers. Where Sam goes, the Third World War follows.

Seriously, honey. Ya gotta lay off the smack, okay? This is for your own good. And Barry, too. Forget about drug testing the truck drivers and the bus drivers. Hell, start making the politicians and bureaucrats piss in a jar before they take office.

Inspectors said that between December 2015 and August 2016 they received more than 130 new allegations from U.N. member states of the use of chemical weapons or toxic chemicals as weapons in Syria. They said the attacks involved sarin, mustard gas, VX nerve gas, chlorine, and 61 other toxic chemicals.

In September 2013, Syria accepted a Russian proposal to relinquish its chemical weapons stockpile and join the Chemical Weapons Convention. That averted a U.S. military strike in response to an alleged chemical weapons attack that killed hundreds in the Damascus suburb of Ghouta.

No, what averted a U.S. military strike was China’s threat (with prodding from Russia) to cut off Uncle Sucker’s credit card if they crossed that line in the sand. China and Russia are happy to see the U.S. government once again get mired down in an endless war against brown people. But all out invasion of Syria and Iran are off the table.

“One thing that we have here is that there is a treaty. Syria is a party to this treaty, they violated it. This is clear. The report shows that you can’t just let them walk away violating the treaty without there being some kind of consequences, otherwise what value is the treaty?” Charbonneau said.

How many countries has Syria attacked, invaded or otherwise launched hostilities against in the past, oh, say 30 years?

Still, it was unclear if Russia, Syria’s close ally with the power to veto Security Council resolutions, would support sanctions.

Last week, Russia’s U.N. Ambassador Vitaly Churkin said the findings needed to be studied by experts and he sidestepped questions about the team’s conclusion that the Syrian government used chlorine gas in two attacks, adding that the report is “very technical,” “quite complicated” and needs study.

Does anybody see the tragedy here? Even if what Associated Press, CTV and the rest of the Bullshit Corporate Media were one hundred per cent factual and true, people will always go back to Saddam’s Nukular Bombs and Weapons of Mass Destruction. And since it was the United States government (with help from israel) that told us those lies, not Russia and not China, the world (even the American people themselves) are deferring to Russia and China.

But since the Corporate Media does continue to tell us tales about fake terrorists, global warming, our ever-fragile economic recovery while covering up  The Clintons’ criminal past AND present, Bill’s drug use, Hillary’s fried brain and many other things, what they are reporting about Syria and the War of Terror are not true. They are demonstrably false. And the George Soros / New World Order types don’t have a clue what the hell to do about it.

And just a friendly reminder: When Bullshit Corporate Media tells us about the “war against ISIS (or whatever alternate name they use, ISIL, IS, Daesh, etc) remember it was Turkey, acting for NATO and the U.S. government who shot down a Russian bomber just as it had completed a bombing mission against real ISIS targets. Russia had just destroyed the ISIS infrastructure that made it possible for Bilal Erdogan, the Turkish president’s son, to continue traficking in stolen Syrian oil. Bilal Erdogan owns ship that carry that stolen oil.

They are pulling Obama’s strings while he plays golf. And they are desperate to get Hillary Clinton in the White House to keep the scam going. Because if Trump is elected, all is lost. And a lot of them will end up in prison. The people understood to be dyed-in-the-wool, unquestioned Republicans are now pushing Missus Clinton. Krystol. Krauthammer. The Kochs. Bush. Cheney. Because, at the very minimum those that don’t end up in Leavenworth or The Hague will at the very least end up being unemployed if Donald Trump takes office.

And second, if the U.S. government decides it would be a good idea to march in and take over Pyongyang, there is no way China and Russia will let that happen. But they will not stop the D.C. troops with men and guns and bombs. They (the Chinese, in particular) will stop D.C. with a phone call. And the U.S. dollar will collapse overnight.

Our American friends need to turn themselves away from millionaires in tights, Justin Beaver, missing young people, bathrooms for confused folk, the latest news out of Hollywood and whatever else the corporate media is spoon-feeding you people for a moment. Just a moment: For the past decade, China – both the government and the people – have been the world’s largest buyers of gold. Not the paper stuff. Not even the tungsten cores they keep in Kentucky. Real, pure, physical gold. The Russian government, despite the crippling sanctions against the people, have been coming in at a close second buying gold by the ton every month.

It is the mere threat of cancelling Uncle Sucker’s credit card that has kept D.C. from waging all-out war in Syria and Iran. Russia and China are happy to let the U.S. impoverish itself as it mires itself in the Middle East. But full-blown invasion and takeover are just not going to happen. This isn’t anti-Americanism. It’s reality. That’s what happens when your country (theoretically) owes over $20-trillion, going by strictly legitimate numbers. When you have to rely on the people you refer to as your enemy to continue loaning you that money, you will have to make some compromises.

The unfortunate fact is that if and when D.C. decides to launch a full-out invasion of North Korea – or Syria or Iran for that matter – New York City and Los Angeles will be as impoverished as Detroit and Flint. Overnight.

And neither Russia nor China will need to fire a single shot or launch a single missile.

And just a friendly reminder. When Corporate Media tells you about ISIS, remember this guy:

As for the suffering people of North Korea and other despot dictatorships, nobody disagrees that they live under deplorable conditions. And when they are ready, they will take their countries back from their rulers. When the poverty becomes insufferable and the lies insulting, revolution will result. And to our friends over at Fox News, if you want Iran to stop “capturing more Americans” thus generating more ransom payments, tell Bill Krystol to tell his people to stop sending CIA agents masquerading as hikers in the first place. Nobody with two living brain cells to rub together is going to vacation in Iran. And those Americans weren’t captured in Omaha.

In the face of declining print advertising revenue, the Toronto Star’s parent company announced Tuesday it plans to lay off more than 50 people, most of them from the Star newsroom and tablet edition.

Translation: “Our blue chip advertisers (Proctor and Gamble, the automakers, the pharmaceutical manufacturers, the public relations agencies, Monsanto, Wal-Mart, etc) have seriously begun questioning whether spending advertising money on any corporate medium is effective given the results of Brexit and, most recently, the phenomenal rise of Donald Trump. If Big Media can’t even tell the people whom to vote for any longer, how can we possibly convince readers and viewers to buy the products and services available for sale in our space and time?”

David Holland, Torstar’s acting president and publisher, said in a staff memo that 22 employees would be let go, including 19 full-time journalists and editors in the Star newsroom. An additional 26 temporary staff, most who work on the Toronto Star Touch tablet app, will also depart the newsroom over the next two months.

Translation: That thing that loads up with unwanted video crap, Google Analytics, Facebook data capturing, Shockwave, adware and worse, pop-ups and surprise hidden mouse-overs taking two or three minutes until you can actually read the story (“story being the operative word here) just isn’t catching on. And we have to have those ads because our pay-wall was a monumental failure. People wouldn’t pay to be lied to. Now the damn sheep won’t even watch our stinking ads so we can lie to them!”

Star spokesman Bob Hepburn said an additional four positions are being eliminated at Torstar’s Metro newspaper chain.

Yup. Surely as night follows day, the folks in the free department are going to be the first to go. I guess Metro’s worldwide New World Order agenda just isn’t catching on here in Canada.

The announcement comes amid slower-than-expected tablet growth for the Star and sagging ad revenue in print media across the country.

Yeah, Bob. We’re into, what, the fifth DECADE of “slower than expected growth?” I think it probably started around the same time your industry told us about Lee Harvey Oswald’s magic bullet. It picked up after tales about babies and incubators in Kuwait. And went into overdrive when the internet became commercially available to the public and, suddenly, we had the means to independently verify all of your claims.

“In the face of this change, we are committed to continuing to adapt our operations, while at the same time making the necessary investments to position ourselves as a multi-platform and increasingly digitally-focused organization,” Holland wrote.

“Along with these staff reductions, the Star newsroom is also evolving its structure to place greater emphasis on key content areas such as breaking news, investigations and special projects.”

Translation: “We are committed to continuing to adapt our operations. But if you think we’re going to, ahem, adapt, to the point where we start asking how that homosexual U.S. government security  contractor down in Mickey Mouse Land managed to shoot up that nightclub, killing 49 of his fellow kind, all while making phone calls, doing Facebook, reloading, etc, you’re crazy. And there’s no way we’re going to start talking about the Clinton Body Count or drug running between Central America and Arkansas in the 1980s and 1990s. And if you think for one second we’re gong to start demanding answers on behalf of more than fifty per cent of our American friends about the inconsistencies about the popular narrative of September 11, 2001, you’re out of your goddamn skull. And no way, never, ever in a million years will we ever let bad things be said about our masters over in Tel Aviv.  You vill read our crap und like eet, sig heil, sig heil!”

Editor Michael Cooke stressed the difficulty of the decision, “hardest of course on those whose jobs are being eliminated, and it is those people who are first in our thoughts.

“On every level — professional and human — the loss of these people hurts,” Cooke said in a staff email.

The head of the union representing newsroom employees at the Star called the job cuts a “heavy blow.”

Translation: The gig is up. Everybody knows the gig is up. And it’s only a matter of time before The Toronto Star goes the way of the Toronto Telegram, the Buffalo Courier Express and the Rocky Mountain News. But we hold out faint hope that Justin Trudeau will be our sugar daddy and look after us. Just like’s he’s looking after the CBC folk. We worked hard to get him elected. He owes us.”

“This is a very difficult day for many exceptional people at the Toronto Star who deliver extraordinary journalism daily, in print, through the tablet, and on the web,” Paul Morse, president of Unifor Local 87-M, said in an email.

Actually, Paul, I don’t think anybody who delivers “extraordinary journalism” was affected. Because no such people work at the Toronto Star or any other corporate media. They haven’t in quite some time. Sharyl Attkisson, the reporter who broke the story about the U.S. government shipping (actually, walking) drugs down to Mexico and opening a corridor for drugs to be returned north in return, was harassed out of her job at CBS News. There was a time when the prospect of a Sixty Minutes news crew (led by Mike Wallace) showing up at the door, office or car of a political or corporate no-goodnik would scare such malefactors shitless. Now you guys would set up an appointment with the p.r. agency and have a nice sit-down interview over a couple of cups of coffee and maybe some beers, a blunt and a little blow afterwards. 

Torstar endured a 17 per cent drop in ad revenue in the second quarter of 2016. That came alongside a $23.9-million loss in revenue for its second quarter.

Maybe Justin and Kathleen can pick up the slack. Otherwise, there’s plenty more cash to be dumped where that came from, boys.

Earlier this year, Torstar outsourced printing of the Toronto Star to Transcontinental and eliminated positions in circulation, IT and other departments.

I guess that billion-dollar printing plant they built up in Vaughan Township two decades turned out to be a boondoggle. Talk about bad timing.

The Star’s digital revenues, however, are on the rise, with a newly launched mobile site doubling its audience.

Translation: “Yes! We have 12, count’em twelve paying customers now! More video crap, more Google adsense, more endless loops! Bigger and better!”

“While the old warhorse of print continues to provide the largest portion of our revenue — this is true of every newspaper I know — digital is clearly our future, and our newsroom will continue to reshape and reorganize around that future,” Cooke wrote.

Translation: You know how we’ve spent the last 15 years laughing at the likes of Drudge, Infowars, WhatReallyHappened, Breitbart and all those conspiracy kook websites that seem to have been proven right about everything since the U.S State Department cancelled Edward Snowden’s passport in Moscow? Well, folks…if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em!”

The announcement Tuesday, which will leave the Star with about 200 contract and full-time employees in the newsroom, is just the latest sign that Canada’s print media industry is in distress.

You good people remaining at The Red Star might want to take a quick look at universe around you. Take a drive out to the post offices, the dairy home delivery depots, the train stations and the blacksmith shops. Remember those London Life Freedom 55 commercials? That’s you.

Postmedia, Canada’s largest newspaper chain, slashed about 90 jobs in January and merged newsrooms in four cities as a cost-saving measure.

Even the neo-con israel-first media is feeling the pain. Amazing. Not even Conrad Black’s money (before he went to prison for fraud, of course), was enough to save the National Post.

The situation has become dire enough that some media industry executives have called for interventions from federal government, possibly through subsidies — an idea that would have been anathema until recently.

Yeah, Star. You go ahead and hold your hand out to the federal government. And make sure everybody knows it. Because then everybody will know that what you are “reporting” pure, U.S.D.A. choice bovine excrement (apologies to WhatReallyHappened.com‘s Michael Rivero).

 Corporate Media, when you are done with the global warming hoax, the fraudelent War of Terror, Justin Beaver, fawning, page-six-style, nonsense coverage of Justin Trudeau and The Clintons, Pokemon Go, celebrity worship and fake polls, get back to us. Get back to us when you are ready to tell us why John McCain was in Syria and what he was doing hanging out with Abu Bakhr Al Baghdadi (aka Simon Eliot). Get back to us when you’re ready to explain all the “inconsistencies” regarding the “mass shooting” in the U.S. and worldwide. Get back to us when you are done ridiculing and margimalizing everybody who asks questions as “conspiracy theorists.” When you are ready to ask questions about who that man was that Seal Team Six dispatched in Pakistan, what happened to The Pentagon’s missing $6-trillion recently, or the other $3-trillion that Donald Rumsfeld admitted “misplacing” on September 10th, 2001, we’d love to hear from you.

Homegrown radicalization will remain an issue even as militants are driven from strongholds, president says

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) will probably continue to be a threat to the U.S. even after it is ousted from key strongholds in Iraq and Syria, President Barack Obama said Thursday, warning that lone-wolf believers will still be inspired to launch attacks that are harder to detect and prevent.

If the United States government wants to know what “ISIS” is up to these days, why doesn’t it merely get John McCain on the phone? He seems to have the inside track.

Or, just ask Simon Eliot. The next time he’s alive again.

“What [ISIS] has figured out is that if they can convince a handful of people or even one person to carry out an attack on a subway, or at a parade or some other public venue, and kill scores of people as opposed to thousands of people, it still creates the kinds of fear and concern that elevates their profile,” Obama said

He said terrorism likely won’t be eliminated by his administration or his successors, and he’s always pushing his team to seek out new ideas to battle the problem.

ISIS, also known as ISIL, has claimed responsibility for a number of recent mass killings, including the Bastille Day attack in Nice, France, last month that left more than 80 dead, and the Orlando nightclub shootings that killed 49. While they may not have been directed by the group, the attackers were reportedly inspired by ISIS.

“ISIS, also known as ISIL…” also known as, okay, let’s see, here, The Islamic State, Daesh, Khorasan (that one didn’t last long, it sounds to phonetically similar to Coruscant, which Star Wars fans recognize as “false flag”). We used to call them “al-qaeda” back in the good ol’ days. And speaking of France…when recalling all of the unspeakable “terrorist attacks” in that country, regardless of the narrative, one cannot help ask a simple question: where did they get the guns? In a country like France, where firearms are strictly controlled to the point of being draconian, how do the bad guys never seem to have problems obtaining all this materiel?

And with regard to Orlando, putting aside the matter of the physical impossibility of the Muslim closet-homosexual Omar Mateen shooting up the Pulse Club, apparantly killing 49, all while updating his Facebook posts, calling 9-1-1, speaking Arabic when he grew up in Brooklyn, New York and the language of his ancestral country, Afghanistan, is Pashto, and stopping to reload…another simple question: all bars, night clubs and pretty much every place of business has video surveillance systems. Where was the Pulse’s video?

Obama has beefed up the U.S. military fight against the hardline Sunni extremist group in Iraq and Syria, recently authorizing more troops to help Iraqi forces prepare to take back the northern city of Mosul, which has been under ISIS control since 2014. And this week the U.S. expanded its campaign against the group with a new front of airstrikes in Libya, to help the fledgling government there take back the city of Sirte.

Yes…The “U.S. military fight against the “hardline Sunni extremist group…” Let’s not talk about Turkey shooting down a Russian jet which had just completed a bombing run against those very “extremists.” In fact, the Russians had just destroyed and disrupted the infrastructure which permits Bilal Erdogan, the son of Turkey’s president Recep Erdogan, to traffic in stolen Syrian oil. Oh, but we’re not going to touch that with a 3.3 meter pole, are we, CBC and the rest of the Corporate Media? No, no, no, no, no, no.

But he noted that ousting the terror group from Mosul, and from its headquarters in Raqqa, Syria, won’t eliminate its networks or its ability to encourage the smaller, more individual attacks.

The U.S. and its allies, said Obama, must “keep on grinding away” against the group, and take key operatives off the battlefield, and “eventually, we will win.”

ISIS, al-qaeda and the rest of the contrived “terrorist organizations” will disappear around the same time as enforced dollar hegemony. Unfortunately, that will leave us with the half-retarded nut jobs like Nuttall and Korody in Canada, and millions like them around the world, who haven’t figured out when they “join” ISIS, they are joining the CIA and Mossad.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, along with the rest of its colleagues in the corporate media world, insult the intelligence of billions of people around the world when it continues to present the popular narrative of terrorism as unquestioned fact when we have so much evidence to the contrary.

It is exactly because of decades of compounding, illogical lies that newspapers continue to close and surviving news media sheds bureaus and jobs. NBC’s Brian William was forced to take a pay-cut from $15-million to a measly $8-million annually when we was incontrovertibly caught lying about about taking fire in a helicopter while a war correspondent in Iraq in 2003.  If corporate media involved telling their fellow citizens the truth, particularly on television evening newscasts, there would not be a need to pay performers millions of dollars to sell an agenda.

In Canada, the salary of Peter Mansbridge, the face of the State Broadcaster (CBC), is literally a state secret.In 2014, CBC president Hubert Lacroix claimed Mansbridge made C$80,000 per year. Uh, no.

Like Muhammed ali-al Sahhaf, aka Comical Ali, the Corporate Media continues to disseminate wild, hilarious narratives about the state of the world as if viewers have no means of independently verifying them.

We are laughing them. We are destroying their lies. And we are voting out their candidates. And in the case of our British friends (and they are just the beginning) we are taking back our sovereignty.

Whether or not Donald Trump follows through with his pledges to be a voice of the people and to destroy the New World Order (aka “the system”), the fact is Americans (including your humble correspondent’s beloved trophy wife Mrs. LettersToTheBeast) will be voting for him. That fact that he has made it as far as he had (and miraculously survived, one might add) is a repudiation of the political establishment, the corporate media, and our self-appointed israeli masters (no matter which country you are in). As this trend continues, advertisers will continue to ask Corporate Media if it is really worth their while to spend billions of dollars buying space, time and placement when the slaves just aren’t doing what we are told any longer. Prior to being banned by CBC, its censor, ICUC, banned the comment post making that very point.

The day fifty-one per cent of our American friends come to the clear and inescapable conclusion that their government has been lying about everything – everything from the Lusitania, to John F. Kennedy, to 9/11 (the Big One), to all of the “mass shootings,” particularly those during Obama’s term of office, Sandy Hook (Sandy Hoax), San Bernardino, Orlando, and dozens more – the U.S. government is finished. It will cease to function as quickly as Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. However, if they are very lucky, they will recover as quickly as post-Soviet Russians did. They will live in a free country. Free of an israeli-controlled private central bank. And effectively free of debt (yes, friends, Russia is, for the most part, debt-free).

And this contagion will surely spread around the world. People will take back their freedom and destroy the Rothschilds central banks and financial infrastructure. And hopefully the Rothschilds infestation itself.

The Toronto Star’s Thomas Walkom, in a column published August 3, 2016, outlined just how far the Royal Canadian Mounted Police went to set up John Nuttall and Amanda Korody, the Muslim-convert junkies from suburban Vancouver, as patsies for a false flag terror attack.

Walkom noted Justice Bruce’s analysis of John Nuttall: a man whose “…general ineptitude, his scatterbrained character, his inability to think logically, his childlike demeanour and his inability to remain focused on a task which would be essential to the articulation and execution of a terrorist plot.”

The RCMP became involved in Nuttall’s and Korody’s lives after receiving a tip – which ultimately proved unfounded – that the couple were attempting to purchase ingredients for explosives. The tip came from the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS).

When it came to “Jihadist rhetoric,” the recovering heroin addict Nuttall talked a big game. He wanted to fire rockets over Victoria. He wanted to swim to a nuclear submarine and steal it. He wanted to take over a U.S. naval base (except he didn’t have any guns). He wanted to hijack a train. The only problem is, that train didn’t exist.

The Mounties quickly found Nuttall and Korody were more than a few fries short of a happy meal. The couple gave them nothing they could work with. So they stepped up to the plate and suggested making a bomb, setting it off in Victoria day on Canada Day (July 1) would be a great idea. There were a few problems, though. Neither Nuttall or Korody knew what Canada Day was. And they had no money to get to Victoria (in 2013, the walk-on passenger fare between suburban Vancouver and suburban Victoria was C$15.50 each, plus C$3 for the city bus at either end. And they certainly didn’t know anything about making bombs.

Not a problem. The RCMP arranged for the couple’s transportation from Surrey to Victoria, a distance of 70 miles. The mounties even got the couple a room when they arrived. The mounties then went to work on making the couple’s bomb.

Walkom reports that keeping Nuttall and Korody focused on the project at hand (i.e. killing lots of people with their pressure-cooker bomb) was a tall order. The couple apparently spent most of their time playing video games while the Mounties did the heavy lifting.

When Amanda Korody, John Nuttall’s co-accused in the bomb plot, wasn’t playing video games, according to the RCMP, she was sleeping.

For the benefit of our American and other foreign readers, LettersToTheBeast regrets that Paul Gross, Gordon Pinsent and Leslie Nielsen were never actually really Mounties. What a shame.
